Happy moments are always unforgettable, especially with the ones you love. I still remember the first time I was “qualified” to go to a football game with my daddy. My parents had six children; so they had a million   16   for when you could be “qualified” to do things. It was a cold fall day, and I had just turned 8, t17教育网:www.17jiaoyu.comhe magic “qualified” age for   17   . The sky hung low and heavy over our heads as we   18   the steep streets that led to the stadium. Following my dad, I   19   to keep up with him. We bought our treats and climbed up to the top of the   20  . Our seats were in the third row from the top, so they were easy to  21  . It was very important for us to be in our seats before kick-off, which made everything leading up to it a mad   22   against the clock. We had just   23   into our seats when a light rain started to fall. Everyone opened their umbrellas.   24   the rain, Daddy and I had a great time.
Each year, I returned to at least one   25   each season with my daddy. I   26   these moments and looked forward to our time together. My dad and I became best   27   at the football games. I could ask my dad about anything and knew that he would answer me   28   and told me everything he remembered. I intently listened as he   29   his childhood, my grandparents, the love between he and my mother, and politics at work in general.
When I was 19, T17教育网:www.17jiaoyu.comhe University of Utah was playing their opening game at Utah State University. Dad really wanted to go, and I really wanted to get those   30  ; so we drove a long trip to Utah. We ate huge hamburgers   31   we watched the game with the sun setting behind us.
This Sunday I will have the   32   of climbing those steep streets leading to the stadium once more. I walk a pace   33   now, so that my aged daddy can keep up with me.
In all my years of   34  , I haven’t really learned much about football. The details of the actual game have never   35   to me as much as the time I spent with my dad. Truly, the most important thing I have learned from watching football is this: Treasure every moment that I have the privilege of spending with my great teacher and friend—MY DADDY.

We often think of the great inventors such as Thomas Edison or Steve Jobs as the “creative”. Or we read stories li17教育网:www.17jiaoyu.comke that of Elizabeth Holmes, who developed a simpler, less painful way to test blood, which has turned her into the youngest female billionaire in the world.
Creativity and innovation(革新)in the day-to-day life start with looking at things differently and taking on the perspectives(观点) of the others. After you’ve taken the view of the others, start testing. New perspectives on problems can give you lots of ideas about how to improve things, but until you try some of those ideas you will never know which is the right choice. But we can learn to develop creative thinking in everything we do.
Talk to others about your perspective and the importance of testing and feedback and show your passion for innovating in all areas to get help from them. That good mindset, along with your ability to follow through, will accelerate your success.

Mount Everest(珠穆朗玛峰)is the highest mountain in the world. This mountain is located in Asia. Asia is the home to all five of the world’s highest mountains. Mount Everest’s peak is five and one-half miles above sea level. That is very high!
Many climbers have tried to climb to the peak of Mount Everest. The first people to reach the peak were Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. Since then, about 900 people have survived the climb to Mount Everest’s summit.
One of the most successful climbers is Erik Weihenmayer. Like all who try to climb this huge mountain, Erik faced strong winds, snow, and avalanches(雪崩). However, what really made Erik’s climb unbelievable is the fact that he is blind. After losing his sight at age 13, Erik began climbing at age 16. He has climbed the tallest mountains on five continents. Erik became the first blind person to reach the peak of Mount Everest.
At the age of 32, Erik began his climb as part of a 19-member team. His team wore bells that he could follow using his climb. By using them, fellow climbers could quickly warn him of such things as a big drop on the right or a big stone to the left.
During his climb, Erik faced many dangers. He struggled through 100m. p. h winds and sliding(滑动的)masses of snow, ice, and rock. Because the air became thinner the higher Erick climbed, he wore an oxygen mask, as do many who climb high mountains. It took Erik about two and a half months to reach the top of this huge mountain.
56. What does the underlined word “summit” in the second paragraph mean? (1 word)
57. What made Erik’s climbing Mount Everest special? (No more than 10 words)
58. How did the fellow climbers warn Erik of some small dangers during the climb? (No more than 5 words)
59. What does the last paragraph mainly talk about? (No more than 10 words)
60. What do you think of Erik Weihenmayer? And why? (No more than 25 words)
